The Top 50 Fitness Influencers in Vancouver, BC (2026)

The Top 50 Fitness Influencers in Vancouver, BC (2026)

The FitBodega 100 ranks the people who move global training culture. This is the home edition: the 50 most influential fitness voices in Vancouver, BC — the trainers, dietitians, athletes, studio founders, and run-club builders shaping how this city trains, eats, and recovers.

Vancouver punches far above its weight. A physiotherapist in North Vancouver teaches mobility to 611,000 people. A strength coach on the North Shore sells her pull-up program in 47 countries. An ER doctor at St. Paul's moonlights as one of the most-followed climbing voices on the internet. The seawall, the North Shore trails, and a few hundred square blocks of studios produce more per-capita fitness influence than almost any city on the continent.

How We Rank — The Fitness Influence Score

Same model as the global list, recalibrated for a city. Six factors:

  • Reach — 25%. Cross-platform following, log-scaled so a 10K local account and a 600K account sit on the same curve without the big number auto-winning.
  • Credibility — 20%. Credentials, titles, and competition results. A regulated designation or a pro card outweighs a blue check.
  • Engagement — 15%. Whether the audience actually shows up — comments, community, people at the track on Monday.
  • Impact — 15%. What exists in the city because this person exists: programs, races, clubs, students, studios.
  • Consistency — 15%. Years of showing up. Vancouver's scene rewards decade-long practices over six-month runs.
  • Commerce — 10%. Businesses built: studios, apps, books, programs, product lines.

Two tiers, same as the global list. Core — fitness is their main output. Amplifier — their reach pulls people toward training culture even though fitness is not the core product; amplifier scores carry a 0.9 discount so raw celebrity cannot outrank working coaches.

One hard gate: residency. Metro Vancouver plus the Sea-to-Sky corridor. Big names who built here and left came off the board — Sean Nalewanyj (now in Bali) and Lindsay Chetaud (now in Santa Monica) do not appear, however large the following. Follower counts are approximate as of August 2026. Inclusion is editorial, not an endorsement, and scores measure influence, not advice quality.

The Podium

1. Michelle Edmison — Mobility & Rehab

Registered physiotherapist, UBC clinical instructor, and certified Kinstretch and FRC mobility specialist running Movement 101 out of North Vancouver. The biggest fitness-education account in the city — over 75,000 students have gone through her online mobility classes, and her feed turns clinical rehab into training you can actually do.

Reach: @mvmt.101 · IG 611K (approx.) · Score: 81

Steal this: Teach one narrow thing better than anyone and the audience compounds.

2. Meghan Callaway — Strength & Conditioning

North Vancouver strength coach with 22+ years in the trade and a UBC kinesiology degree. Her Ultimate Pull-Up Program has been run by lifters in 47 countries, and she publishes for Girls Gone Strong and half the industry's major outlets — a global product built from a local coaching practice.

Reach: @meghancallaway · IG 327K (approx.) · Score: 80

Steal this: Productize your best protocol; a program outscales your calendar.

3. Gary Robbins — Running & Endurance

North Vancouver ultrarunner, HURT 100 course-record holder, and co-founder of the Coast Mountain Trail Series. His three heartbreak near-misses at the Barkley Marathons made him one of the most famous endurance athletes in the country, and he converted that fame into races the whole North Shore runs.

Reach: @garyrobbins · IG 93K (approx.) · Score: 74

Steal this: A public failure, handled with class, builds more trust than a quiet win.

The Heavyweights — 4 to 10

4. Louise Green — Inclusive Fitness

North Vancouver trainer, author, and founder of the Big Fit Girl brand and app. A SELF Magazine columnist profiled by People, she has spent nearly two decades building size-inclusive training into a movement, an app, and a book that changed who gyms think they serve.

Steal this: Serve the audience the industry ignores and you own the category.

5. Dr. Jeff Yoo — Medicine & Climbing

Emergency physician at St. Paul's Hospital, UBC faculty, and elite rock climber. Blends ER medicine with climbing and injury-recovery content few creators can credibly touch — the rare account where the medical authority is real.

Steal this: Pair your credential with your obsession; the overlap is the niche.

6. Desiree Nielsen — Nutrition & Dietetics

Vancouver online coach who has trained 600+ professional women over six years, ranked among top TikTok fitness voices in 2022 and 2024. Built a coaching brand on one sharp promise: lose weight without giving up your cultural foods — specificity the generic macro coaches can't match.

11. Jazmin Gillespie — Bodybuilding & Physique

Vancouver certified trainer and international figure competitor with a 3rd-degree black belt in karate, coaching in person at P.R. Fitness Studio and online. Reach: @missjazzy_fit · IG 753K (approx.) · Score: 69

Steal this: Short, brutal, consistent sessions beat long occasional ones — and film them.

12. Vancouver Dietitians — Nutrition & Dietetics

Steal this: Represent the client the ads ignore and they will find you.

17. Niki Mahmoudi — Online Coaching

West Vancouver online coach and UBC grad building routines-not-trends training for women across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Supplement partnerships and a three-platform presence built on the least glamorous promise in fitness: consistency.

Steal this: Boring promises, kept publicly, out-earn exciting ones broken quietly.

18. Cam Lee — Yoga & Pilates

21. Daniela Dib — Studio Founders

Key Takeaways

  • Credibility outranks reach in this city. The podium holds a physiotherapist, a 22-year strength coach, and an ultrarunner — not the three biggest follower counts.
  • The strongest accounts productized something: a pull-up program, an app, a certification, a race series. The feed is the funnel, never the product.
  • Community builders rank with a fraction of the followers. A run club with 100 people on the seawall every Monday is influence no algorithm measures.
  • Vancouver's terrain is a competitive advantage. The creators who train on the North Shore and shoot it are making content no flat city can copy.
